Institute of
Business Entropy

Welcome to the Institute of Business Entropy
The Institute of Business Entropy conducts research on developing quantitative relations predicting revenue growth due to increasing the entropy of the offering to the market, and predicting the cost reduction due to process entropy reduction in the order fulfillment process. The disciplines employed in the research of the Institute primarily include:

1. Information Theory
2. Statistical Mechanics and Thermodynamics
3. Queuing Theory
4. Lean Six Sigma and Complexity reduction
5. Corporate valuation models

The quantitative results are used to assist organizations to predict the benefits of process improvement and market/mission responsiveness, as well as predict the improvement possible in acquisitions
The Director of the Institute is Michael George, who previously founded the George Group in 1986 , acquired by Accenture August 31,2007. Mr. George was also the founder of International Power Machines in 1969, acquired by a division of Rolls-Royce in 1984. Mr. George began his career at Texas Instruments in 1964 as a process engineer on Integrated Circuit development for Minuteman II. He holds a BS degree in Physics from the University of California and an MS degree in Physics from the University of Illinois.
